through the crack in the chest.  that's also where most of the air comes from!

Wow, this is fantastic!! I love cosplayers who go all out like this. I HAVE to send a link to my friends.
I've always wanted to cosplay Strength from Black Rock Shooter. Would this work for her arms?

I say yes, it would work, however, if you could find Vi cosplay tutorials, that would be a more effective approach to the hands.  I would recommend lighter material than cardboard (which does build up a surprisingly significant amount of weight in the end).  Maybe foamboard or styrofoam (material with a lot of air.

How do U get all those Boxes? I play LOL, and I live in Korea.  I don't have a garage, do you think I could make them?

Do you have a place to store him?  That's the biggest issue I'd look into first.  I get all my cardboard from a hospital, they toss em out back to be compacted).  If you can solve the storage problem, it's easy from there, just follow this guide!

You should have connected some string or rope to his hands and brought into the abdomen, then you could have been moving the arms

Can you wear it and move with it? just looks like in the picture you could move it if you attached places to hold on. that is, if it's just made of cardboard :D

it's totally moveable, but, i didn't glue the joints together so i could break it apart and fit the pieces into trucks. so what ended up happening was that it would fall apart as soon as i tried moving it myself. so it was a matter of moving the pieces, assembling, and moving to the next place, assembling, etc.

When i design my costumes, I have to consider the type of transportation needed. The solution that has worked for me is to design the costume to break into pieces.

The tank broke down to 3 pieces: the base, the turret, and the nozzle. All 3 of pieces fit perfectly on the bed of my pickup truck. Assemble costume on-site.

Blitzcrank broke down into: the body, shoulders, and hands. Since these pieces were very big, it required 2 pickups and 1 SUV to transport it to the convention center. Originally I was going to bring a U-haul, however, LACC wouldn't be able to accommodate it in their parking garage.

Big costumes add big logistics issues which can be resolved in design.

Hope that helps!

dude it totally does thank you so much. Cuz normally I . well.. make the costume then figure out how to squeeze it in a truck. Quite sad wen your driving on the express way with a giant turtle's face moshed to the glass. Im positive I scare children on my drive.

Well anyways thanks again. OvO

I'm pretty sure you will haha. Who's going to attempt the scale that you produced. I didn't get to see you at AX, but from videos and things, I can tell that his was a massive cosplay. I'm not even sure how you managed to walk to the hall without being completely mobbed haha.

haha actually we were pretty much completely mobbed when we were in the halls. unfortunately we were cut short by AX staff. they kicked us out maybe 2 hours after we arrived because of the size. possibly why you might not have been able to see us. i'll definitely look to scale down on size next cosplay.

I'm sure you'll figure it out. After all, you were able to build it and take it AX.
I regret I couldn't get any good pics of it since you were such a crowd pleaser. You should take that to Fanime.

appreciate the watch! i'll see what i can do about taking it to another convention. i'll have to coordinate better with security/staffing. AX staff kinda gave me the green light on bringing it then kicked me out.
